If Horatio is played by a woman, don’t play her as in love with Hamlet. Here’s my one main argument for that:

Horatio tries to drink poison to follow Hamlet to his death…sound familiar?

  1. So this is why she’s NOT in love with Hamlet, then? But… wait… why?

(or that the poison-drinker of the work I’m assuming you’re referencing is male, hence, if Horatio is killing himself out of love for Hamlet, he should be played by a man?

I’m reading too much into this…)
