300. Underground Shakespeare

This is yet another reason why I want to move to Toronto.

A group of student actors, calling themselves the Spur-of-the-Moment Shakespeare Collective, have started performing Shakespeare on the subway. Not everyone gets into it – one actor got kicked by an annoyed fellow rider – but apparently a lot of people have been really moved by the performances and get into them.

One of the best ways to get people interested in Shakespeare is to present his work in new and unusual ways, and this group has definitely risen to that challenge.
