That's right – the Bard in a year.

with one comment

Hello, my lovely readers!

I am just curious about your particular tastes, so I hoped you could answer my little poll:

Favorite Shakespeare play:
Favorite line from a Shakespeare play:
Favorite Shakespearean character(s):

Here are my favorites (this week, anyway) to kick things off:

Favorite Shakespeare play: Hamlet
Favorite line from a Shakespeare play, poem, or sonnet: “Nay, if you read this line, remember not/The hand that writ it; for I love you so/That I in your sweet thoughts would be forgot/If thinking on me then should make you woe.”
Favorite Shakespearean character(s): I have always had a soft spot for Horatio.

  1. Favorite character is easy: Falstaff.

    Favorite play is still Henry IV, Part One, but I am growing ever more fond of Lear.

    Favorite line, really a fragment of a line, but incredible in its conciseness and power: “Light thickens.”
