Richmond Shakespeare’s upcoming production of Elizabeth Rex needs your help!

Elizabeth Rex premiered at the Stratford Festival of Ontario, played recently in DC, Australia and France. Last year’s Off-Broadway production (directed by RS alum JoAnne Zipay) received two NY Innovative Theater Award nominations.

Over four hundred and seven years after her death, Elizabeth Rex brings the Queen back to life, and puts her in the same room with William Shakespeare for one night, the eve of her former lovers execution.

Richmond Shakespeare is excited to produce this play, but the costumes alone will be three times the normal budget. So we’re asking for your help! Join the Facebook event and pledge to donate. Even two dollars can make a world of difference and help create an incredible production!
