149. Shakespearean Costume

One of my favorite things about theatre is costuming. If I had to work backstage in only one capacity, that would probably be it! It probably stems from how I would watch my mother sew my clothes and Halloween costumes when I was little (in fact, one year I dressed as Juliet in a gorgeous green brocade and gold satin gown that she made me!).

We all know how elaborate and amazing Elizabethan costume can be, so I can only imagine a costumer taking on that sort of challenge.

Of course, any costumer’s job begins with the research, so here are a couple of great resources online that I have found:
