104. And all this time I thought it was Shakespeare…

My world has just come crashing down.

I don’t know if you all have heard, but they have discovered who actually wrote Shakespeare’s plays. Definitively. And I am kind of feeling…I don’t know. It’s all very surreal. Here I am devoting so much of my literary love to Shakespeare, and it turns out it wasn’t him at all. And now I’m going to have to read plays written by this person.

It’s just not the same. I’m not sure how to deal with this. I’m going to go eat copious amounts of chocolate, for starters.

  1. Don’t let it affect you too much; I mean, the plays are still the same, and that’s really what’s been bringing you so much joy over the years. These things happen.
