But according to NASA, the term “blue moon” came along in Shakespeare’s day, and just meant “a rare occurrence”. Which I think is pretty cool, since I wouldn’t have known that unless I had clicked on an AOL News story about the upcoming blue moon. You never know where Shakespeare (or something related to Shakespeare) will pop up!
